Gathering nearly 70 attendees, PASO’s panel was a success! Some highlights from our two panel members came from Matthew Gosner, Chief Resilience Officer & Executive Director at the City and County of Honolulu’s Resilience Office, who shared that good ideas are not the challenge but rather getting them across the finish line. To illustrate, Gosner described a bill he worked on for the City Council that took one year to craft and another year to get passed. Our second panel member, retired Associate Justice Mike Wilson shared more of his global and judicial lens and utilized the story of David and Goliath as a framework for describing the challenges that people are facing in advocating for climate change. Mahalo to all those who attended, we hope to have everyone join us for a panel discussion in Spring 2024.
