Carrying on a long-standing PUBA tradition, on October 22, students in the Policy Analysis and Implementation (PUBA 609) class presented testimony at a mock legislative hearing at the State Capitol. Last year, PUBA alum Representative Andrew Garrett took over coordinating the unit from former Representative, now Chair of the State Board of Education, Roy Takumi (also a PUBA alum). Representative Garrett was joined by Representative Della Belatti and Representative Amy Perruso, who engaged the students in lively discussions about coffee labeling and short-term rentals in Hawai‘i.
