In Fall 2022, a new team of Public Administration Student Organization (PASO) officers Sharon Baillie (President), Melanie Martin (Vice President), Jared Kawatani (Treasurer), Tristan Bones (Secretary) and Moises Ayala (Student Liaison) gathered to plan out community service events and speaker series panels for PUBA graduate students. Dr. ChiaKo Hung, the PUBA faculty leader, helped lead the team.
PASO organized eight (8) events during the 2022-2023 school year:
- September 2022 – Service Day at Maunalua Bay
- October 2022 – Honolulu PRIDE Cleanup
- November 2022 – Hawaii Food Bank Senior Box Packing
- December 2022 – Service Day at Aloha Animal Sanctuary
- January 2023 – Service Day at Aloha Animal Sanctuary (so popular, we scheduled again!)
- February 2023 – PASO Speaker Series: Leaders in the Nonprofit Sector
