Dr. Kelly LeRoux Visits PUBA and Discusses Nonprofit Efforts to Increase Voter Participation

On September 25, 2024, Dr. Kelly LeRoux, Professor and Associate Dean in the College of Urban Planning & Public Affairs at the University of Illinois Chicago, visited PUBA and gave a guest lecture and public talk on “Sleeping Giant of Democracy: How Nonprofits Could Reshape US Voter Participation.” Dr. LeRoux is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), and she has published three books and over fifty articles and book chapters on public and nonprofit management, contracting, local public service delivery, and intergovernmental collaboration. Over the past few years, Dr. LeRoux has been working with nonprofits to determine how they can most effectively engage in nonpartisan voter registration.
