Former state representative Roy Takumi, a distinguished MPA graduate of the Public Administration program, has been appointed (and confirmed by the State Senate) as the new Chair of the Hawai‘i State Board of Education by Gov. Josh Green. With his extensive legislative experience, to include serving as the chair of the House Education Committee for 15 years, Takumi is well-equipped to lead the board in shaping policies affecting nearly 300 schools statewide.
