How has your MPA helped you?

The different tracks that the MPA focused on like human resources, economics, non-profits, and more helped me to be a more effective community and government leader. The program also challenged me, as our practicum required an internship on top of our other responsibilities and forced us to evaluate our time management and priorities while exploring our future career paths.

What is your advice for prospective or new students?

Take the time and opportunity to get to know your fellow classmates, their diverse backgrounds, and what they currently do, and be sure to maintain your relationships with them, as you never know where life will take you. A lot of the times you will be learning from the wide array of experiences of your classmates.
